That depends on the look, privacy and visibility you want, as well as the glass already fitted. Use our shade illustration as a starting point, then discuss film samples and your vehicle with us. Darker does not automatically mean better heat rejection.

For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must transmit at least 75% of light and front side windows at least 70%. Earlier vehicles require at least 70% for both. The limits apply to the glass and film together. Rear passenger windows and the rear windscreen have no tint-darkness limit under these rules. Read the official GOV.UK guidance ↗.

Our existing service guidance gives around one to two hours for many installations. Your vehicle, the windows being treated and any old film removal can change this. We confirm the expected time when arranging your appointment.
